Iceland dismissed calls by France, Portugal, Spain, and Ireland for the European Commission to explore trade sanctions against the island-nation for over-fishing mackerel, reports the AFP. "We will not succumb to pressure and will stand our ground," fisheries and agriculture minister Steingrimur Sigfusson told the news wire.
