Spaanse premier wil 65 miljard bezuinigen (en)

Spanish PM Rajoy on Wednesday said he will cut €65 billion from debt over the next two and a half years by boosting VAT from 18% to 21% and reducing local authority funding. Brussels praised the move, but opposition MPs said it will aggravate the economic slowdown.
