The well-known Lithuanian journalist, poet and politician Dalia Teišerskyte visited the Vilnius SOS Youth Centre on June 27th in the frame of the generations@school project.
During the encounter students sat in a close circle holding the books provided by the NGO Encouraging the Future and listened to Ms. Teišerskyte share some of her personal experiences while living in the exile in Siberia.
Her testimony opened a fruitful debate with the young audience about the main problems of Lithuania’s youth, such as emigration and unemployment.
Young and old participants in the event enjoyed an interesting exchange of ideas and agreed that intergenerational meetings like this are something worth to learn from.
