Francois Hollande, the socialist candidate for the French presidency, is in the lead in polls ahead of the second round of elections on 6 May. A BVA poll published by Orange and RTL Thursday gives Hollande 54.5% while the centre-right incumbent Nicolas Sarkozy is polling at 45.5%.
