Tentoonstelling 'EU Architectuur Prijs' in Düsseldorf (en)

A touring exhibition featuring models of the 45 buildings shortlisted for the EU i Prize for Contemporary Architecture/ Mies van der Rohe Award opens on May 8 at the Haus der Architektur in Düsseldorf.

The exhibition, organised by the Deutsches Architekturmuseum, the Museum für Architektur und Ingenieurkunst NRW and the Fundació Mies van der Rohe, opens to the public on 8 May and will be running till 3 June.

The Neues Museum in Berlin by David Chipperfield Architects in collaboration with Julian Harrap was awarded the 2011 Prize and the Collage House in Girona by Ramon Bosch and Bet Capdeferro received the Emerging Architect Special Mention.

The aim of the exhibition is to make the EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture/ Mies van der Rohe Award more widely known to the public.

In the upcoming months, the exhibition can be seen at:

the Architekturzentrum Wien, Vienna (19 July - 8 October); Dansk Architectur Center, Copenhagen (25 October 2012 - 6 January 2013); and the Triennale di Milano, Milan (January - February 2013).

Launched in 1987 and co-funded by the EU Culture Programme and the Fundació Mies van der Rohe, the €60 000 EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture is the most prestigious award in European architecture.
