Iceland could be pumping low-carbon electricity into the UK and continental Europe via sea-floor cables in the next decade, the Guardian reports. UK energy minister Charles Hendry will visit Iceland in May to discuss the project, which would require a 1,000 km high-voltage cable - the longest in the world.
