On behalf of the European Commission, I wish to congratulate you on your election as President of the Republic of Moldova.

You take oath of office at a particularly important moment of your country’s history. I am confident that, under your leadership, Moldova will address the challenges it faces in pursuing its ambitious reform agenda, continuing its path towards democracy and social consolidation, strengthening economic growth, as well as defusing tensions in the region.

On all these issues, your leadership will be crucial. You can count on the European Commission’s full support in pursuing these ambitious goals for the benefit of the citizens of Moldova.
