An Ifop/Fiducial poll published Tuesday for the first time put French President Nicolas Sarkozy i (28.5%) ahead of Socialist challenger Francois Hollande (27%) for round one of the election on 22 April. However, Hollande (54.5%) still leads for the second round on 6 May, with Sarkozy seeing 45.5 percent support.
