Austria has launched its national website for the European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations 2012. The Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection has created this website to inform about Austria's goals during the European Year 2012, news, events, activities and projects that will take place throughout the year.

Organisations can register on the website in order to participate actively and inform about their activities related to Active Ageing and the European Year 2012. Furthermore the Austrian ambassadors of the Year state the importance of the Year and their personal commitment to the European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations 2012.

Moreover the Website seeks to inform visitors about issues on Active Ageing in 2012 through useful links, materials for downloading, and information about events and good practices.
