Corruption is rising in Bulgaria when it comes to EU funding applications. According to a poll published Monday by the Bulgarian Industrial Association, corruption affected 75% of all tenders in 2011. "Whoever is close to those in power wins the tenders," Bozhidar Danev, CEO of BIA said, Novinite reported.
