Mandate of the EU Special representative in Kosovo extended to January 2012

The Council adopted today1 a decision extending the mandate of Fernando Gentilini, EU Special representative in Kosovo, until 31 January 2012.

Mr Gentilini was appointed EUSR on 1 May 2011 to prepare for a strengthened and long-term EU presence in Kosovo, in line with the Lisbon Treaty and the European perspective of the whole region.
