Extension of the budget and the mandate of the Head of Mission of EULEX Kosovo

The Council adopted today a decision amending Joint Action /CFSP on the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo, EULEX KOSOVO, by extending the financial reference amount until 14 December 2011. The decision was adopted by written procedure

At the same time the Political and Security Committee (PSC) extended the mandate of Xavier Bout de Marnhac, Head of Mission of EULEX KOSOVO, also until 14 December 2011. The appointment was made pursuant to Joint Action /CFSP which authorises the PSC to make the decision to appoint a Head of Mission

The current mandate of EULEX KOSOVO runs until 14 June 2012
