Polen organiseert conferentie over beveiliging van persoonlijke gegevens (en)
The main objective of the conference is to focus attention on current and future challenges related to the protection of personal data and initiate public debate about the practical implications of the current data protection policy.
The conference is being organised as part of a project co-financed by the European Commission with the goal to identify the current legal needs of personal data protection at a European level.
Partners of the conference include: the Hungarian Ministry of Public Administration and Justice, the Spanish Ministry of Justice, the Council of Europe, the European Commission, the European Law Academy and the Hungarian Parliamentary Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. The conference is being organised as part of Poland’s rotating Presidency of the European Council. A previous conference on the Protection of Personal Data undertaken during the Hungarian Presidency took place in June of 2011 in Budapest.
