Internationale conferentie over interactie tussen internet en maatschappij (en)

Met dank overgenomen van Directoraat-generaal Communicatienetwerken, Inhoud en Technologie (CNECT) i, gepubliceerd op vrijdag 9 september 2011.

Over 450 participants from Europe and the rest of the world are expected at this event that will be opened by Neelie Kroes i, Vice-President of the European Commission responsible for the Digital Agenda. During the conference, high-level international speakers will present and discuss the draft conclusions of an analysis of the interactions between Internet and societies in the next decades made by a multidisciplinary panel of 40 experts, in order to identify new innovation paths in Internet research. The event will also discuss concrete examples of how ICT platforms can promote sustainable lifestyles and democratic participation. Participation is free of charge but registration is mandatory through the website.
