The only way to avert the escalation of the internal conflict is to begin genuine social dialogue. Violation of human rights and aggression against one’s own nation are actions deserving of the greatest condemnation.

As the country currently holding the European Union’s Presidency, Poland expresses its solidarity with Syrian society. We extend out sympathy to all the victims of the regime’s aggressive actions. In the EU forum and as a member of the international community, Poland will support efforts aimed at assisting the victims of reprisals and democratising Syria.
