Parlementsvoorzitter Buzek blij met arrestatie van Goran Hadzic (en)

The President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek i, welcoming the arrest of Goran Hadzic by the Serbian authorities, made the following statement:

"I welcome the arrest of Goran Hadzic. I congratulate the Serbian authorities for capturing the last major war crimes fugitive in the country. It is good news from the perspective of justice, stability in the region and Serbia´s integration with the European Union.

The arrest, which follows the jailing of Ratko Mladic, is another proof of Serbia's good cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia. It highlights Serbia's commitment to the EU i.
