Akkoord tussen Europarltv en Italiaanse publieke omroep RAI (en)

The President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek i met today with Paolo Garimberti, President of RAI (Radio Televisione Italiana), and expressed satisfaction with the agreement reached between Europarltv and RAI-Italian Radio and Television:

"The Memorandum of Understanding signed by RAI and the European Parliament is an important step to reinforce the knowledge of the European Parliament in Italy.

This collaboration between the European Parliament and RAI is a road that other national public broadcasters could follow. The RAI is a pioneer in this regard.

Too few citizens in the EU member states are sufficiently informed about the activities of the European Parliament, despite the great impact that EU policies have on their lives. We hope that this agreement will help changing the current situation."
