The following decisions have been adopted by the Council by written procedure:
TRADE POLICY
Anti-dumping and countervailing measures

-furfuraldehyde - China
On 4 May, the Council adopted a regulation imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of furfuraldehyde originating in China following an expiry review pursuant to regulation 1225/2009 ( 9140/11).

-plastic bags - China
On 3 May, the Council adopted a regulation amending regulation 1425/2006 imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain plastic sacks and bags originating,
inter alia , in China ( 8672/11 ) .

-stainless steel bars and rods - India
On 19 April, the Council adopted a regulation imposing a definitive countervailing duty and collecting definitively the provisional duty imposed on imports of certain stainless steel bars and rods originating in India ( 8357/11). The regulation is published in the Official Journal L 108 of 28.4.2011, p. 3.
FOREIGN AFFAIRS
Republic of Moldova
On 4 May, the Council approved the EU's position for the 13th meeting of the EU- Moldova cooperation council to be held on 5 May 2011 in Brussels.
The meeting will provide an opportunity to review progress in EU-Moldova relations since the last cooperation council in June 2010.

European Economic and Social Committee
On 2 May, the Council appointed Mr Ivan KOKALOV (Bulgaria) as a member of the European Economic and Social Committee for the remainder of the current term of office, which runs until 20 September 2015 ( 9352/11).
