Onderzoek naar verbetering infrastructuur Finland ontvangt EU-subsidie (en)
A study to produce a construction plan for the Hamina bypass motorway in Finland has been selected to receive €1.25 million of TEN-T funding. The project, which will run until December 2011, supports the completion of Priority Project 12, the “Nordic Triangle railway and road axis”.
The study, of which 50% is funded by the TEN-T programme, will pave the way for the procurement of construction works on this key section of the E18 motorway and ultimately lead to an increase in the capacity of the road network as well as in the safety levels for users.
Once completed, the motorway will stretch from Helsinki to the Russian border and will address the issues of capacity and safety which are currently affecting this portion of the network.
