The Presidency of the Council of the European Union is paying close attention, to the extraordinary situation that emerged at the Italian shores, due to a wave of North African refugees. The Presidency will cooperate with other EU institutions, including the European Commission, to provide Italy with all the necessary assistance in order to resolve the situation.
