M. Lazaros S. Lazarou benoemd als lid van de Europese Rekenkamer (en)

Following his nomination by the Cypriot authorities, Mr Lazaros S. Lazarou has been appointed a Member of the European Court of Auditors for a renewable term of six years. Mr Lazaros S. Lazarou will replace Mr Kikis Kazamias, whose mandate at the Court expires on 1 November 2010.

In accordance with the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, the appointment was made by the Council of the European Union, after consultation with the European Parliament.

Mr Lazarou will be formally sworn in at the Court of Justice of the European Union.
