Declaration by the High Representative on behalf of the European Union on the alignment of certain third countries with the Council Decision 2010/386/CFSP updating the list of persons, groups and entities subject to Articles 2, 3 and 4 of Common Position 2001/931/CFSP on the application of specific measures to combat terrorism
On 12 July 2010, the Council adopted Council Decision 2010/386/CFSP. The Council Decision consisted of an update of the list of persons, groups and entities subject to the measures provided for in Common Position 2001/931/CFSP 1.
This declaration is made to announce that the following countries have declared that they share the objectives of Council Decision 2010/386/CFSP: the Candidate Countries Turkey, Croatia* and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia*, the Countries of the Stabilisation and Association Process and potential candidates Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, and the EFTA country Liechtenstein, member of the European Economic Area, as well as the Republic of Moldova, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
They will ensure that their national policies conform to this Council Decision.
The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.

*Croatia and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia continue to be part of the Stabilisation and Association Process.
