Hoge Vertegenwoordiger buitenlandse zaken Ashton spreekt met Spaanse minister van buitenlandse zaken over Spaans voorzitterschap (en)

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Miguel Ángel Moratinos has held a meeting with the EU's High Representative for Foreign Policy, Catherine Ashton, at Viana Palace.

The matters discussed in the meeting included issues related to Spain's presidency of the European Union during the first six months of next year, as well as other matters regarding the implementation of the Treaty of Lisbon.

Following the meeting Mr Moratinos and Lady Ashton gave a joint press conference.
