EU en Turkije komen bijeen voor overleg (en)

Next Monday (4 June), in Ankara, the European Union Troika will meet a Turkish delegation for consultations.

They will discuss EU-Turkey relations, as well as regional and current international issues.

The Turkish delegation will be headed by Foreign Minister Abdullah Gül, and that of the EU by Federal Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The Troika will also feature representatives from the European Commission (among them Commissioner Olli Rehn) and the EU Council Secretariat. The incoming Portuguese Council Presidency will be represented by State Secretary Joao Cravinho.

A press conference is scheduled for 1.00 p.m. in the Ankara Palace. Journalists interested in participating in the conference are requested to contact the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
