Britse conservatieven en eurosceptici voeren samen campagne tegen EU-grondwet (en)

British Conservatives appear ready to join forces with UK Independence Party (UKIP) to campaign against the EU Constitution, it emerged yesterday.

Ahead of a parliamentary debate on the Constitution scheduled for today, the shadow foreign secretary Michael Ancram, announced that there would be an informal link up between the two groups.

The European Constitution is a "gateway towards a country called Europe" and killing off the draft is one of the most important things for Britain, the Telegraph reports Mr Ancram as saying.

Until now the Conservatives have been cautious about associating themselves with UKIP, who are viewed as hardliners.
