Only 31 percent of Austrians would vote for EU membership now, according to a new poll published in Austrian daily Kurier.
However, only 26 percent would vote "no", while 43 percent said that they were undecided.
58 percent of the respondents were dissatisfied with the results of the negotiations with the EU Commission on limitations to heavy vehicle transit.
According to the poll, which was conduced between November 25 and December 1, 58 percent of the 780 respondents felt that not enough regard had been shown to the population in the negotiations on heavy vehicle transit through the country, reports Austrian paper Der Standard.
Austria became a member of the EU after a referendum on 12 June 1994 when 66.4 percent of the Austrian voters said "yes" to EU membership.
