On 7 October 2003, a high level Russian delegation led by Mr Viktor Ivanov, Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, visited the European Anti-fraud Office (OLAF). The delegation was welcomed by the OLAF Director General, Mr. F-H Brüner.
During the visit the delegation learned about the role and responsibilities of OLAF for the protection of the financial interests of the European Union. Discussions were also entered into regarding possible ways in which the Russian authorities and OLAF might be able to co-operate further in the future.
