Agriculture and Fisheries Council: These topics were discussed
On 21 September, EU Agriculture Ministers met in Brussels under the German Council Presidency to discuss, among other things, the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). A press conference followed the meeting at 17.40.
Three weeks after their Informal Meeting in Koblenz within the framework of the German Presidency of the Council of the European Union, EU ministers for agriculture met again in person in Brussels on Monday, 21 September for another physical meeting of the Agriculture and Fisheries Council. The meeting started with a public session at 10.00. One of the important topics of the meeting was reforming the CAP for the period after 2020. The green architecture of the new CAP was at the centre of the debate. Ministers also discussed trade issues in the agricultural sector.
