Press release - Conference on Building Resilience to Natural Disasters

In the context of Romania’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Conference on Building Resilience to Natural Disasters, will take place on March 12 2019, in Bucharest.

The conference is hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Romanian General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations and provides a framework for debate and exchange of good practices regarding resilience to natural disasters. At the same time, the Conference aims to facilitate the identification and development of cooperation models between states in order to reduce the effects of global warming.

The agenda of the conference includes two debate sessions on building resilience to natural disasters and climate change and security and a presentation and demonstration session on the challenges in building resilience to natural disasters - the case of Romania.

The event will take place at the Palace of Parliament (Str. Izvor 2-4, entrance C1, Room Nicolae Bălcescu), in Romanian, English and Frech (simultaneous translation).

The press conference will take place in Room Nicolae Iorga.

ACCREDITATION

The access of journalists to the conference is allowed only based on the media accreditation available on the website of the Romanian Presidency to the Council of the European Union https://accreditation.romania2019.eu/

The deadline for accreditation is March 8, 2019.

Accreditation badges can be collected only at the Palace of Parliament - the Accreditation Center of the Palace of Parliament - the Accreditation Center of the Romanian Presidency at the EU Council, located at the S2 entrance (Bucharest, Str. Izvor 2-4),

In order to collect your accreditation badge, you need to present the accreditation approval and your ID or passport.
