On Thursday 23rd of June 2016, UK citizens cast their vote in favour of Brexit. Even though it was not a landslide victory, the consequences of the UK putting an end to its 43-year-long EU membership has shaken up the entire Old Continent and beyond. What is left now are a lot of questions; but maybe this was the momentum that the European Union needed. Janis A. Emmanouilidis, Director of Studies at the Brussels-based think tank European Policy Centre, discusses the aftermath of 21st-Century-Europe’s landmark and its impact on current and future negotiations.
Janis A. Emmanouilidis has been working as the EPC’s Senior Policy Analyst since 1999 and was recently promoted to Director of Studies.
