Commission still assessing Nord Stream II gas project

The European Commission is still assessing its “legal position" on Russia's plan to build another gas pipeline to Germany, energy commissioner Miguel Arias Canete i said on Tuesday. He added that Nord Stream II was also "a highly political question", amid strong opposition from EU states including Poland and Slovakia.
