The refugee crisis is still very high on the European Parliament agenda. This week the LIBE Committee is convening a debate on Monday to discuss Denmark’s new controversial draft law that would give authorities powers to seize valuables from refugees in order to pay for their stay in the country. Still on Monday, the European Central Bank will present its report for 2014 to the ECON Committee; and the TRAN Committee will discuss the delicate issue of fairer, improved and more efficient services provided to sea port users. On Wednesday, some members of the Sports Intergroup will meet with the three candidates running for the FIFA Presidency. Finally, on Thursday, the JURI Committee members will cast their votes on new rules to help businesses obtain legal redress against the theft or misuse of their trade secrets.
