Central Bank: Romania 2019 euro membership 'not feasible'

"The 2019 objective to adopt the euro is not feasible anymore even if we'd still politically like to do so," Romania's central bank governor Mugur Isarescu said Wednesday, because Romania will not be able to enter the Exchange Rate Mechanism on January 1 2016 or June 1 2016 as required.
