Sarkozy campaign probe launched

French authorities have launched a probe into illicit funding of Nicolas Sarkozy's 2007 presidential campaign, reports Le Parisian. The paper says the campaign allegedly benefited from a system of fake invoices and fraud. Sarkozy, who is rumoured to seek a return to the presidency, has seven other cases against him.
