At the Eurofi Financial Forum in Brussels on September 27-28 Minister of Finance of Cyprus, Mr Vassos Shiarly, addressed the challenges that Europe is facing in the aftermath of the financial crisis in the context of financial regulation framework. Mr Shiarly was invited as a keynote speaker to the Forum which is organized by the think tank Eurofi in association with the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the i EU.

In his opening presentation the President of ECOFIN i elaborated on “Re-launching growth in the context of the new financial regulation framework”.

Eurofi is a European think tank chaired by Jacques de Larosiere, dedicated to financial regulation and supervision and a platform for exchanges between the financial services industry and the EU and international public authorities. A lot of high profile individuals in the financial area, both from the industry as well as international organizations and public authorities, were participating in the Forum.
