The Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU is organising a two-day conference to provide a broad account of the current situation in the field of cultural governance, with a specific focus on cultural and creative sectors.
The objective is to promote the development of integrated strategies for cultural governance by developing specific recommendations regarding the promotion of proactive cultural research as catalyst for the planning and development of cultural policies.
The format of the meeting will allow the sharing of experience on evidence-based policy making. Mr Demosthenous, Minister of Education and Culture of Cyprus, has confirmed his participation in the event.
The outcome of the conference shall feed into the Council Conclusions on cultural governance to be adopted during the Cyprus presidency.
