Malthese ambassadeurs voor EJ2012 bezoeken premier (en)

On 16th May, all nine Maltese Ambassadors for the European Year 2012 were invited to meet with Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi i.

The role of the National Ambassadors is to attract greater media and public attention to EY2012 events, spread the messages in the media, be a key person behind an initiative promoting better conditions for active ageing, and have a concrete and personal experience to share.

President Gonzi was accompanied by Parliamentary Secretary responsible for Elderly and Community Care, Mario Galea.

The national ambassadors shared with the authorities their experiences in active ageing, solidarity between generations, formal employment and volunteering.
