Eurocommissaris Füle over Montenegro (en)

"Montenegro has worked hard and made good progress in meeting the political criteria. "We have seen real progress including in; judicial reform, revising the electoral law, media freedom, anti-discrimination and the fight against corruption and organised crime. But Montenegro will need to maintain the momentum of reforms, and consolidate its progress and this is best done in the framework of accession negotiations", stated Commissioner Štefan Füle on 12 October ahead of his visit to Podgorica to deliver in person the recommendation of the European Commission to open accession negotiations with Montenegro.
