Implementatie van EU-gefinancierde projecten in IJsland van start gegaan (en)
The European Union, represented by Director in Directorate-General Enlargement Alexandra Cas Granje, and the Government of Iceland, represented by Ambassador Kristján Andri Stefánsson, have signed on 8 July a Framework Agreement on the implementation of projects funded under the Instrument for Pre-Accession assistance (IPA). The framework agreement sets out the rules for co-operation on EU assistance, most notably provisions concerning financial assistance and its conditions, applicable procurement rules, taxation, customs duties and other charges, monitoring and related structures and authorities. Following the inclusion of Iceland as a beneficiary of IPA assistance in July 2010, the signed Framework Agreement allows for the start of implementation of EU-funded projects in Iceland.
