The EESC's Programme for Europe: Proposals of Civil Society is a strategic document offering concrete proposals for the challenges facing the European Union. It was adopted during the Committee's latest plenary session on 24 March 2009 and suggests a blueprint for building a knowledge-based and communications society, strengthening Europe's industrial basis, reducing CO2 emissions and reshaping the structures of European governance.
Joined by EESC members and members of the press, Mario Sepi and the four prominent parliamentarians will discuss issues relating to economic recovery, fundamental rights and the European social model, sustainable development and European governance.
