Zweden hebben geen spijt van afwijzing euro (en)

Indications are that the Swedes do not regret their rejection of the euro in last year's referendum.
A new opinion poll by TEMO published by Dagens Nyheter shows that 61 percent of Swedish voters are now opposed to the common currency, with 39 percent in favour of the euro.
This means that the gap between the 'yes' and 'no' votes has grown. When the Swedish euro referendum was held in September last year, the final result was 56.1 - 41.8 against joining the euro.
But Swedes are in favour of enlargement, according to the poll. Six in ten Swedes (62 percent) said they were supportive of the EU taking on 10 new members with only 25 percent opposed.
Swedish women tend to be more positive towards the enlarged EU than men, and people living in the big cities are also more supportive than people living in rural areas.
