Catalonia's parliament backs secession resolution

Catalonia's parliament has approved a watered-down resolution outlining plans for independence from Spain in 2017. The Spanish Constitutional Court rejected a previous resolution, partly because it urged officials and police to disobey the Spanish government. Although these aspects were removed, Madrid may still seek to challenge the latest version.
