Catalonia's parliament to elect to regional leader

Catalonia's parliament will vote for a new regional leader on Sunday after acting president Artur Mas announced that he would step down to avoid new regional elections. Mayor of Girona Carles Puigdemont is expected to become the new Catalan president after a 3-month deadlock due to disagreements between pro-independence parties.
