EP wants 'top candidate' system, online vote

The European Parliament on Wednesday adopted reforms of the electoral system which should allow voters to cast their vote online from abroad. The EP i also wants to formalise the so-called Spitzenkandidaten system with politicians actively campaigning for the post of Commission chief, although national governments still have to agree.
