EP panel calls on Commission to report on Hungary

MEPs in the Committee on Civil Liberties called on the European Commission on Tuesday to provide a report on the rule of law, democracy and fundamental rights in Hungary, but did not support earlier calls from liberal members to start a procedure against Hungary for breaching EU rules and principles.
