Catalan premier called to court over 2014 referendum

Catalan acting premier Artur Mas and two of his aides have been summoned to court for their role in staging an unofficial referendum on independence for the region, on 9 November last year. The pro-independence alliance won a majority of seats in elections for the regional parliament on Sunday.
