Germany urges EU-Swiss talks on immigration

German FM Frank-Walter Steinmeier on a visit to Bern Monday urged Switzerland to negotiate plans for new quotas on immigration from the bloc. Switzerland narrowly voted in 2014 to limit immigration from the EU with effect from February 2017. Brussels insists that European citizens have the right to free movement.
