Top earners in Finland pay big into state coffers

The top 11 percent of Finnish wage earners contributed up to 45% of the total revenue from direct taxes in 2013, reports Finnish state broadcaster YLE. The bottom 44% of wage earners, by comparison, contributed around 8%. Total revenue from direct taxation in 2013 was €29 billion.
