“Today’s Competitiveness Council has firmly committed to the fight against counterfeiting and piracy and has asked the Commission to assess all possible options for the protection of intellectual property. It is a key element for the competitiveness of our companies and our economy” stated the Italian State Secretary responsible for European Affairs Sandro Gozi after the Conclusions on the protection of intellectual property rights were adopted.
