The signing ceremony is held on Friday 5 December at 14:30 in Brussels. The agreement establishes scientific and technological cooperation between the European Union and Switzerland, associating Switzerland to Horizon 2020 - the Framework Programme for research and innovation and to Euratom's research and training programme, and regulating Switzerland’s participation in the ITER activities carried out by Fusion for Energy.
The ceremony is attended by the EU Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, Carlos Moedas i, and the Italian Minister of Education, University and Research Stefania Giannini, who represent Italy, and by Johann Schneider-Amman, theHead of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research, who represents Switzerland.
